Professional personal coaching typically includes:
- Regularly scheduled telephone appointments, typically weekly or bi-weekly
- Client and coach arrive prepared
- Client’s agenda for each appointment
- Coach uses questions to stimulate the client’s creativity in finding and implementing solutions
- Coach may make requests or challenges of the client
- Coach will access a variety of learned techniques to keep the client on target with the agreed client goals
- Coach reviews client progress after each appointment
- For urgent issues, between appointments client can contact coach via email or “hot line”
- Can be short or long-term – up to an 18 month commitment
